Award: "Chosen for Impact" Award
As founder and leader of SAAM Project, I’m thrilled to announce that our project has won the inaugural "Chosen for Impact" award from Applied Linguistics students at Universidad Nebrija (Spain), recognising the project's innovative approach, social impact, and commitment to inclusion and diversity. The nomination came via a former Erasmus student from Universidad Nebrija, which makes it more special.
This recognition would not have been possible without the extraordinary participants in the life of SAAM Project: our 550+ volunteers, 49+ coordinators, and 30+ charities and nonprofits. A huge thanks to all of you!
I'll be attending Universidad Nebrija graduation ceremony on 6 June to collect the award, proudly representing the School of Media, Language and Communication Studies (MLC) University of East Anglia.
And with SAAM Project also shortlisted as a finalist for University of East Anglia Innovation and Impact Awards 2026 (Social Impact category), what a year it has been for SAAM Project in its 10th anniversary!
